This Healing Lip Treatment is different from a typical lip balm, in that it is fortified with several essential oils that do specific things. Not to mention the carrier oils of organic coconut, meadowfoam, borage, carrot, almond and emu. You will find that this is much softer than a typical lip balm, and not nearly as "waxy". The waxiness comes from the fact that there is more "wax" in a product than anything else. You will not want to leave this product sitting out in the sun, because it will melt... although, if it DOES melt, just place it in a cool place, and it will return to it's previous state.
All of the oils used are extremely healing, soothing for dry lips...and the hyssop and lemon balm are a preventative for herpes lesions on the lips (also called fever blisters). Actually, the hyssop and lemon balm are a treatment for that particular problem, when used undiluted.
